Benefits of key ingredients
*Organic snowflower extract (native Australian, tea tree family) - a precious essential oil that offers an abundance of phyto-actives, particularly antioxidant, de-pigmentatoin and anti-inflammatory. It filled with powerful antioxidants and phenols that are 100 times more potent than Vitamin C, and 25 times more potent than vitamin E. It can increase and restore luminosity of the skin after sun exposure, has clinically proven anti-aging and anti-inflammatory effects even surpass retinoic acid (vitamin A).
*Organic rose hydrosol - rejuvenates and reduces redness, ensuring your skin blossoms like a rose.
*Resveratrol - a natural antioxidant and anti-microbial extract that helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reducing dryness, and smooth skin texture. This plant-based active was first identified in red wine as it is present in the skin of red grapes and has been thought to be one of the key actives responsible for the health benefits of that popular beverage. Resveratrol isn't just found in grapes, ours comes from Japanese Knotweed (polygonum cuspidatum).
*Bearberry extract - most commonly used in preparations for skin brightening as the plant contains a natural source of hydroquinone called arbutin, an active that works to reduce pigmentation. Unlike synthetic hydroquinone, plant extracts such as the bearberry have a much greater action on the skin and also have the added benefit of delivering trace minerals and vitamins.
*Licorice root extract - effective in treating hyperpigmentation and it can be used to reverse the damage caused by acne scars. It has anti-inflammatory properties making it useful to calm the skin and reduce skin irritation and redness.
*Sodium hyaluronate - derived from bacterial fermentation using glucose (from corn) in a biofermentation process. It has powerful anti-aging properties helping to keep the skin hydrated and supple due to its high water retention ability, revitalising the skin’s outer layers so they look and feel softer, smoother and enhancing elasticity.
*Bisabolol (an extract from the chamomile plant) - has anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties, to inhibit the pigment in our skin known as melanin, which causes age spots and to have skin-brightening properties.
*Elderberry extract - contains natural antioxidants that help to remove harmful free radicals (bad cells that try to prematurely age us) from our body.
*Saccharide isomerate - an emollient derived from glucose (100% plant derived) that reduces the signs of dry and itchy skin, reduces trans epidermal water loss, and improves skin hydration. It has also been found to improve the look and feel of skin, increasing its softness.
*Ubiquinone (coenzyme Q10) - a vitamin-like antioxidant and is naturally found in nearly every living cell in the human body. It helps to protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Antioxidants are wonderful for our health (and our skin) because they sacrifice themselves in order to save our cells from these detrimental molecules. The collagen, which provides resilience and elasticity in our skin, can be compromised - leading the visible signs of aging such as wrinkles and sagging skin.
